Salt Art.

I found this little gem this afternoon.
I am really curious though about how in the world someone came up with this. Like milking a cow... the first person who did that... what in the world were they thinking?!

Anyways... I found it here.

This is how it works...

Directions:
Have your child draw a picture with glue.
Then sprinkle the glue with salt.  We did this on top of a piece of cardboard, but a baking sheet will work well too.
Next have your child take a paintbrush or a medicine dropper and drop colored water, one drop at a time onto the salt.

It took her a minute to learn that she couldn't "paint" with it.

She seemed to think it was nifty.

Mar got bored quickly.

When you touch the color to the salt it spreads only on the salt.

It wouldn't have been any fun at all if she didn't take some salt off the page and eat it.
This was fun, and the other blogger mentioned that it is only for fun. It won't last as it doesn't actually stick to the page. A good time was had by all, (well, Amara couldn't have cared less) and we will be doing this one again.

That's all for now.
